Hopeful City Members in Action!

 

(Above) Hopeful City founding pastor Rev. Bill Ridenhour (1st English Lutheran Church) mixes the sand of each faith community during the 2005 Covenant Ceremony. The mixing of the sand represented the intertwined relationships of our communities in which no community can remove its sand and break the Covenant.

 

(Below) East Wheeling leaders, under the guidance of voter turnout expert Bishop Donald Pitts, map out their strategy to register East Wheeling voters.

(Below) East Wheeling resident Claude King and St. Joseph Cathedral member Butch Yahn spent many August '05 mornings teamed with police officers to get to know East Wheeling residents. Unfortunately, Butch, a dedicated Hopeful City leader, died in September '06.
